Abstract :
This paper describes signaling protocol for Personal Mobile Telecommunications (PMT) that allows a user to roam from his/her home network into other carrier networks, and back again. It proposes enhancing the layer 3 Mobility Management of Personal Digital Cellular (PDC) radio interface signaling, and discusses network interface signaling. To permit user roaming among multiple carrier networks, the user´s service profile must be transferred from his/her personal home location register to the network where the user is going to roam. A personal gateway location register is established in the roamed network to temporarily hold the roaming user´s service profile
