Abstract :
A novel type of ultrasonic bearing is proposed in this paper. Finite element method is used to carry out the mode analysis and harmonic response of piezoelectric ceramic actuator used in the bearing. The working frequency of the piezoelectric ceramic actuator is determined by the mode experiment. The comparative trial is made on the working and the non-working condition of the piezoelectric ceramic actuator. The experiments testify that the ultrasonic bearing possesses anti-friction performance at working status, and the friction loss of ultrasonic bearing is lowered to about 10% comparing with the non-working piezoelectric ceramic actuator.
