Abstract
Time dependent solutions to the electromagnetic problem in paraxial approximation are derived through the Green´s function for the paraxial equation. Two forms of time-spatial pulses, the Gaussian pulse and the Airy pulse, are obtained by applying the Green´s function to a proper source current. The both pulses propagate decelerating in time but with various temporal behaviour of a velocity.
