Abstract
The self-tuning minimax predictive controller (MPC) is implemented in real-time on a high fidelity simulation of a fossil fuel heating-cogeneration boiler. The development of the MPC algorithm is outlined in its full multi-input multi-output (MIMO) form. A multiloop structure of MPC controllers is then applied to a nonlinear real time boiler simulator, and evaluated with respect to standard control schemes
