Abstract :
Hidden Markov Model have bean successfully applied to a wide range of sequence modelling problems. In the classification context, one of the simplest approaches is to train a single HMM per class. In this paper, a new method based on the fractal feature vectors is described, and the recognition results are compared with other face recognition approaches. Computer simulation shows that the proposed this algorithm yields higher recognition rate compared with several conventional face recognition algorithms.
