Abstract :
A medical system for near-fall detection and warning based on UWB radar was proposed. This system for physiological activity monitoring can be considered as an application-specific short-distance wireless sensor network. The channel model estimation and performance analysis of multi-band orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MB-OFDM) for this UWB system was described in this paper. In the end, the channel model simulation results by Matlab was given. The system performance in terms of average BER was analyzed.
