Abstract :
Sub-surface imaging system using a solid immersion lens (SIL) is introduced. Aberration caused by cover layer of blue ray disk is minimized with truncated SIL and diffractive optical element (DOE). Sub-surface imaging simulation is achieved by using rigorous coupled wave technique, partial coherence and vector diffraction.
