Abstract
• The RCT assess ETAs of arrival and departure aircraft at route intersection points • The RCT visually provides estimated separation values to controllers so that they can maintain adequate lateral separation • The RCT provides these separation values for multiple crossing points which are designed to compensate for early or late takeoffs • The RCT enables controllers to flexibly maintain tactical separation • Preliminary results of HITL indicate that the RCT enabled twice as many aircraft to be climbed than were climbed in a no-tools condition; feedback from controllers was positive as well
