Abstract
Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a widely used symmetric cryptographic algorithm. Differential power analysis attack (DPA) is a powerful side-channel attack method which has been successfully used to attack AES. As a lot of people focus on revealing the key, more and more people become interested in how to defend DPA attack. In this paper, we propose a method by adding a set of register and a random generator to defend DPA attack. The proposed method has been implemented on SASEBO board. It can process data with 2.56 Gbps at 200 MHz frequency. And we use the DPA attack to prove it can effectively defend the normal DPA attack.
