Abstract
The temporal relationship of the systemic arterial compliance (C(P)) and blood pressure has not been extensively investigated. The authors utilized their recently developed nonlinear model of the arterial system to examine this relation when the arterial system is subjected to global changes in vascular states and blood pressure. Results show that C(P) is acutely related to both central and peripheral cardiovascular structural and functional alterations
