  • Abstract
    A novel dual-band compact electromagnetic-bandgap (EBG) structure is presented. This structure introduces a interdigital-spiral shape stripline to enlarge the inductance effect, which can extremely reduce the period of the lattice. Further more, it utilizes concave patches and convex patches to arrange alternately for dual band purpose. It also can be applied to design a reconfigurable multiband EBG structure. In this paper, its design is detailed, and several simulation are presented. The result proves that the design is effectively.
