Abstract :
On the basis of the theory of traffic-waves, this paper studies the course of vehicles queuing and dispersing at an intersection and the changing of traffic flow between intersections. Furthermore, this paper analyses the platoon-interval in city arteries and the effect of traffic signal coordination with regard to the direction and speed of traffic-wave spread. The corresponding mathematical models are also established in this paper
