Abstract :
In 2009, Kanazawa Technical College (KTC) began an electric kart program. Although in the early stages, the program is intended to focus on the control and safety systems necessary to operate the vehicle. The complex systems used in modern day electric vehicles are rarely studied at the high school or technical college levels. The two goals of the KTC electric kart program is to develop a curriculum and teaching materials in English which can be used to educate the students in the basics of control systems.
