Abstract :
A method of developing the quality of circularly polarized microstrip antennas using the "almost square" patch is presented particularly. Antennas are designed and optimized with patches printed on foam and common dielectric substrate, which separately have over 17% and 14% 3 dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth. The latter has been fabricated and measured, the measurements agree well with simulated results.
