Abstract
A low cost, compact stacked E-shaped patch antenna is presented and the simulation results of its performance are investigated. The antenna input impedance bandwidth is 45% (3.1-4.9 GHz), which is better than the square patch stacked E-shape patch antenna. The dimension and position of the rectangular patch as well as the shift of coaxial probe location have been optimized to achieve this wide bandwidth and it can be used for UWB lower band applications.
