Abstract :
Students have been facing problems in learning differentiation. Reports and comments from the Malaysian Examination Board indicated that students faced problems in learning differentiation. Teacher-centered instructional approaches, large class size and lack of individual learning support for students were some of the identified contributing factors. This paper aims to present a prototype of an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) for enhancing the learning of differentiation for Form Four Additional Mathematics. The ITS uses mastery learning theory and fuzzy logic to provide self-paced learning and one-to-one tutoring in the learning process.
