Abstract :
We report the synthesis and optical characterization of oleic acid (OA) capped europium doped lanthanum trifluoride (LaF3) nanoparticles. Ligand exchange was performed with thenoyltrifluoroacetone (TTA), with enhancement of europium luminescence observed through energy transfer from the sensitizing ligand.
