Abstract :
A novel cavity-backed slot antenna with high gain and broad-band is presented. A metal superstrate with a window is placed above the substrate to attain high-gain characteristics. Simulation and measurement results show that the proposed antenna achieves a high gain (>10 dB) within the bandwidth from 2.30 GHz to 2.50 GHz, and -10 dB return loss with a bandwidth of 200 MHz in the 2.40 GHz frequency band, while it still retains the broadband impedance characteristics.
