            Abstract : 
A modified double side printed patch antenna is proposed in this paper. Its impedance bandwidth can be expanded to sevenfold frequency multiplication which is from 2.8 GHz to 17 GHz through improving the construction of commonly bow-tie printed antenna. Simultaneously, the antenna gain has an average value of 10 dB in the whole band. In addition, the presented antenna has good end fire characteristic that makes it suitable for phased array systems.
