Abstract
In this paper, a CPW-fed multiple stopbands circular monopole ultra wide band antenna is investigated which is composed of a circular monopole radiation cell and CPW feed line with the characteristic of the bandstop filter. The prototype antenna has the bandwidth from 1GHz to 7GHz with three stop bands at 2.4GHz, 3.5GHz and 5.8GHz respectively. The return loss and radiation patterns of the proposed antenna are measured and the results are in good agreement with the simulation results.
