Abstract
Considers a J-spectral factorization of a rational spectral matrix, which is related to the non-standard H∞ control problem for a descriptor system. We show that the existence of the J-spectral factor is equivalent to the existence of a semi-stabilizing solution of a generalized algebraic Riccati equation
