Abstract

An intelligent speech production system is different from ordinary speech production systems. We consider not only how to convert text into speech but also how to generate the necessary text in text-to-speech conversion. The system gets the right text by topic selection, text planning, text organization, grammar realization and text generation. According to the generated text the system finally generates speech which have a good quality in in terms of naturalness and intelligibility using a Chinese text-to-speech conversion system
