Abstract :
Sol-gel method was often studied in preparing ATO films on glass substrates. In this paper, sol-gel method was used to prepare ATO powder, which was dispersed in distilled water to get ATO slurry. ATO near infrared shielding glass paint came into being, when ATO slurry was added into water-borne polyurethane. The paint was coated on the surface of glass to cut off solar radiation, especially the near infrared rays. X-Ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy have been performed on ATO surfaces. The grain size of ATO powder increased with the higher calcination temperature. When Sb/Sn=10at%, the grain size of ATO powder was about 10nm. Near infrared shielding glass paint showed the best NIR shielding ability according to the measurement of UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer when ATO slurry of Sb/Sn=10at% was used.
