Abstract :
This paper proposes an improved MPWM1 control method for three phase current fed Z-source inverter, which can obtain maximum current gain at any given modulation index without producing any low-frequency ripple and reducing switching stress. The presented method improves the two traditional control methods of the current fed z-source inverter, simple boost and maximum boost control. The relationships of current gain to modulation index and switch current stress in the two traditional method and the presented method are analyzed in detail. Then the presented control method is verified by simulation in PSIM software.
