  • Abstract
    The performance of thermoelectric device can be greatly improved by combining with thermosyphons heat transfer and energy recovering. A novel thermoelectric air-conditioner was developed for a track cab; it is compatible with movable spaces because of its special advantages, such as reliability, eco-friendship and simplicity. Air distribution and comfort may be improved by airstream from up-front spout of the cab, with large flow rate and small temperature difference. Based on the experimental data, the prototype can be further improved by optimizing the system design and manufacturing technique.
