Abstract :
The design and particle simulation of a 0.14THz folded waveguide traveling-wave tube(FWG-TWT) was presented. A prototype tube has been fabricated successfully through manufacturing process study. In the preliminary test, the amplified signal with maximum power 280mW at frequency 144GHz was observed in cathode voltage 13.7kV, current 6.2mA with a small power backward wave oscillator(BWO) as the drive source. The further experiment is under way.
