Abstract :
In this paper a novel interline unified power quality conditioner (IUPQC) based on single stage nine-switch inverter for low voltage applications is proposed. In compared to conventional structure, only nine switches and one capacitor for AC/DC/AC conversion have been employed. The reduced number of switches in proposed IUPQC topology leads to low manufacturing cost and less switching loss. A proper control strategy has been employed to cover all functionalities needed IUPQC in different modes of operation. Simulation of system has been carried out and the results are illustrated, which show the performance and suitability of the proposed Nine-Switch configuration for IUPQC.
