InterNet-Based Power Market Simulator (NetPMS)

This paper presents a new electricity market simulator named Internet-Based Power Market Simulator (NetPMS) that has been planned, designed and implemented by the authors in order to study different power market rules before market execution, simulate the behaviors of power market players, train the students and market participants, test the designed agents by researchers and etc. In NetPMS Version 1.0, the software application environment has been designed to simulate both Spot and Day-Ahead markets. In NetPMS, the users can easily accomplish their required settings through a convenient web-based area for creating structures and legislations of spot or day-ahead markets. Thus, this paper explains the NetPMS architecture and features besides describing its abilities, advantages and the terms of usage of this applicable simulator.
