Abstract :
In several complex systems, fuzzy structural modeling (FSM) is a useful method to structure hierarchies under uncertainty, in order to deal with the arrangement of system elements systematically. Especially, when we apply FSM to group decision making problems under imprecise expert judgement, it is needed to construct the multiattribute utility function to coordinate the multi-viewpoints of cooperated participants. We propose a method based on group decision making with the fuzzy subordination matrix in the FSM. This method is developed on the basis of intelligent decision support systems (IDSS). The IDSS method can construct interactive support systems for multiattribute utility evaluation with fuzzy valued trade-offs in the group decision environments. We extend the technique in IDSS to achieve the consenting structure in FSM. We develop an interactive support system based on a man-machine graphical user interface, which can derive group decision making. According to the consenting structure of decision makers in a group, a structural model of the system is obtained. If there is a difference between both models, the difference is reflected in the generation of the individual indifference curve, because the indifference experiment is repeated to adjust the difference of individual evaluation to match the consenting value. The method has been successfully applied to the structural modeling of the conscious mind for job selection in a group
