Abstract
A semi empirical model of charge deposition profile in thin slabs irradiated by plane-parallel electron beam is worked out. For this model basic data are obtained by a new Monte Carlo technique (method of Trajectory Translation). Analysis of charge deposition profiles in Be,C,Al,Cu,Sn and Au slabs with thickness from 0.0005 to 0.05g/cm2 irradiated by monoenergetic electrons with energies from 1 to 10 MeV is carried out. Basing on the results of analysis the analytic expressions that describe the charge deposition profiles are obtained. It is shown that the analytic expressions describe charge deposition profiles in considered field of slab thickness, slab atomic number and primary electron energy satisfactory
