Abstract :
Summary form only given. Initially, guiding-center solitons are associated with generalized nonlinear Schroedinger equation, including linear losses /spl gamma/. The area of their existence estimated as /spl Gamma/=/spl gamma/L/spl Gt/1, representing the ratio of the dispersion distance L to the loss distance. We analyze the problem of evolving temporal optical solitons; in media covered by the cubic Ginzburg-Landau model, wherein the spectral filtering and the nonlinear absorption are neglected.
