Abstract :
Summary form only given. . In this talk we will compare the development of the analog optical signal processing approaches to the Moore´s law exponential growth of digital microelectronic techniques and show an example in array processing where optics will continue to have a substantial advantage in computational throughput for the foreseeable future.
