Abstract :
The authors discuss the background and requirements for a portable radio broadcast satellite VSAT; stereo capability; high portability; a talkback channel; one man operation; easy operation; and a closed network architecture. The resulting SATSOUND equipment is described. It consists of a control station, a fixed Earth station and a portable terminal.<>
