The European market for VSAT´s: The path towards liberalization
Abstract :
Four applications of VSATs relevant to banking are considered: automated teller machines; credit card verification; simultaneous common database update; and voice/fax communication. In each of these applications VSATs can offer important advantages in providing the required telecommunications medium. A short discussion of the interfacing facilities required for data networking is included and finally some guidance of the space segment charges applicable to a VSAT system for banking.<>
