Abstract :
The last few years have seen a rapid increase in the use of computers to measure and evaluate microwave data. To assist in these tasks, many individuals have developed various formats for storing microwave data in mass memory, for example, magnetic tape or disc. The formats generally vary from person to person, program to program and computer to computer. In this paper we shall distuss whether there would be an advantage in an industry standard format and, if so, what the general requirements of such a standard would be.
