Abstract :
The methods and application of a software package for the design of high order sigma-delta A/D converters is described. Such tools allow comparisons to be made between sigma-delta converters of different orders and responses. The cost of implementing ADCs is found to be very dependent on the noise and signal transfer functions. The application of the software to the design of a fifth order ADC is described
