Abstract :
The characteristic of surface charge distribution and thermally stimulated current (TSC) of the Alumina ceramics with an additive Mn(CH3COO)2 have been investigated in vacuum in this paper, as a reference, the pure Alumina ceramics have also been investigated. The experimental results showed that the additive Mn(CH3COO)2 has greatly influenced both the surface charge distribution of the samples and TSC characteristics of the samples prepared under three sintering temperature. With the sintering temperature rising, the surface charge polarity of the sample changed from negative to positive under certain electric field, and the number of TSC peak also changed. The further analysis indicated that the characteristic of surface charge could be attributed to the change of the trap energy band structure.
