Abstract
Studies on polymerizable phospholipids, are reported with an emphasis on diacetylenic lipids. By incorporating a diacetylenic moiety two specific goals are achieved; (1) modification of membrane morphologies, and (2) stabilization of the resultant microstructures. To explore the properties of diacetylenic phosphatides, the authors have synthesized and characterized a number of phospholipids. This report deals with the properties of aqueous dispersion of these diacetylenic lipids
