  • Abstract
    Nonlinear resistance coating has been used to uniform the electrical field on the insulation of high-voltage electrical equipments. When we cover the resistance with a capacitance tape, the capability of the composite configuration to sustain high voltage is increased greatly. In this paper, we make a study on the application of this composite configuration to ameliorate the electrical field distribution. Analog computation is carried out to search for theoretical foundation. Results of actual measurements give strong support.
