Abstract :
A preliminary study of induced partial discharge behavior in epoxy samples by continuous and pulsed X-ray is described. Phase resolved partial discharge analysis is recorded as a function of X-ray beam intensity and trigger angle. It is shown that the amplitude of the distributions of partial discharge as a function of applied voltage phase angle is proportional to X-ray beam intensity. For pulsed X-ray induced partial discharge the probability range of larger occurrence is between 60 and 78 degrees.
