Abstract
Tagalaya village, Northern Halmahera has implemented a hybrid power plant Photovoltaic (PV) -Diesel generator. This paper presents the hybrid system´s condition in Tagalaya village, Tagalaya Island, includes the potential and constraint factors. The result of the evaluation process of potential hybrid system in Tagalaya village is PV standalone only capable to ward off the 10% load of the installed capacity. The lack of human resources is caused of the low education level. There isn´t any cost to maintenance the system in Tagalaya village because the income per head is very low. These are the biggest constraint factors to guarantee system viability.
