Abstract :
A method of broadening the operation frequency range of traveling-wave tube (TWT) to a longwave edge by dint of using of frequency-dependent absorber is suggested. Realization of such absorber is possible by means of putting the absorption layer only on the side of support dielectric road, looking to the helix. Frequency dependencies of attenuation inserted by absorbers and output characteristics of TWT are given.
