Abstract :
Noncompliance is the main reason for treatment failure. Approximately 50 to 75% [1,2] of patients misuse their medication due to forgetfulness and busy schedule. Instead of heavily depending on patient\´s memory for following medication deadlines, we propose a new automated medication tracker called "Mobile Treatment Monitoring System" to help patients take their medication on time. Among other technologies that help patients to follow up their medication such as Pill Organizers, Medication Reminders, and Pill Dispensers, using remote treatment monitoring system appears to be a promising technology because system creates a direct link between doctor and patient so doctor will be notified for any noncompliance and misuse of medication.
