Abstract :
In many powerful electric microwave devices, such as magnetrons and gyrotrons, electrons move along curved cycloidal or helical trajectories. The analysis of impact of high frequency alternating magnetic field on electron´s trajectory parameters was carried out on the basis of conception of electron movement along curvilinear trajectories as sequences of movements on arches of osculating circles. The simplest model of movement of an electron on a circular trajectory in the static fields, representing the model of the asymmetrical gyroscope possessing the magnetic dipolar moment was considered. The possibility of existence in such model of the forced high-frequency nutation oscillations with abnormally high amplitude was shown.
