Abstract :
In order to determine the success of a TQM (total quality management) implementation, adequate measurement is needed. One way to ensure that everyone is involved is to establish key measurement indicators throughout all areas of a company. As actions are assigned and tracked to determine their effectiveness, trends in the key indicators can be monitored. The success of various types of corrective actions should be publicized so that others may benefit from the approaches that have worked. Over time, more individuals will become involved in quality management thinking and will accept it as their personal philosophy
