Abstract :
A methodology for comparison between simulation outputs and real life measurements is proposed. The methodology is based on hypothesis testing and statistical evaluation of traffic performance indicators. On the basis of theoretical results a software tool for verification of the simulation results is developed. The tool is tested on an example of a ZigBee based wireless network system. The comparison tool demonstrates the need for simulation verification and analyzes examples of good agreements between simulation and measurements allowing for quick exposure of cases where the agreement is not satisfactory.
