Abstract :
In this paper the analysis of application of zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) buck quasi-resonant converter (QRC) as LED driver is considered. The capability to use capacitor-less or only inductive filter in high frequency ZVS QR DC/DC converter to supply high power LEDs is shown in the paper. The criterion of resonant tank parameters selection is given. An approach to avoid multiresonant ringing effect of the ZVS QRC with on-time control is proposed. The main statements are confirmed by experimental results.
