Abstract :
We demonstrate fluorescence imaging of single dye molecules in the illumination mode, achieving a spatial resolution less than 10 nm. The obtained super resolution on NSOM, which is smaller than an aperture diameter of the probe employed, is attributable to nonradiative energy transfer from the excited molecules to the coated metal on the probe.
