Abstract
Analysis of the influence of the DAC+ADC delay on the synthesis results of continuous-time ΔΣ bandpass modulators is presented and detailed. This analysis method, based on a previously presented method uses a discrete time simulator, which is more efficient than an analog one. It will be shown that non-zero values of the feedback DAC delay can improve the filter gain margin. In this analysis the gain margin sensitivity to the real loop delay is also presented.
