Abstract :
The building is a natural shielding for radio interference. Also, cellular frequency reuse in each floor and in the neighboring buildings has shown great spectral efficiency. This new inbuilding communication system is compatible to the existing cellular system and could be a PCS system in the future. In the intelligent network (IN), one has to decide whether the IN should be a central control system or distributed control system. At the radio access, what kind of PCS radios should one have, a smart radio or a dumb radio?
